At Romany Collies we strive to breed healthy, beautiful, and well tempered rough and smooth collies. We select for old-fashioned collie temperament and sensitivity; high intelligence and biddability; robust good health; proper structure; and of course, beauty.
Our dogs live in our home and are part of our family. They are wonderful with other animals and with children of all ages. We do extensive health testing, as well as being mindful of health issues for which there are no tests, and our collies come with a five year guarantee against genetic health issues--which does not require you to return your dog to us.
Temperament is our first priority and we are so proud of our dogs in that area. Many Romany pups are enjoying success in performance events such as herding, obedience, rally and nosework. Several are working as service dogs already, and hopefully the number will grow as more people learn how well-suited collies are to this type of work.
We are members of the Collie Club of America and the Collie Health Foundation.
